Like I said 3 years ago...

Another year has passed and I'm sitting in a very different place. Last I posted I talked about touring across Canada on a bicycle. I did make it across this beautiful land; not alone and not on a bike and much farther than I ever thought. S and I bought a 1992 Plymouth Voyager and drove from Nova Scotia to Yellowknife to Vancouver and back to YK. Winnie (our van) was heroic! We rolled into town with a hole in our radiator and a seized transmission (i.e., the last 1000km consisted of driving in first gear and pulling over every 1/2 hour to cool the engine, luckily that stretch to YK is almost barren). But we made it!

Overall the past year can only be described as adventurous. S and I lived in Iqaluit, Nunavut for a few months. Fortunately my job (which brought us there) didn't work out and, how serendipitous(!), we're exactly where we want to be.

And, S and I are getting married next Sunday. I'm so deeply contented with him.
